The headline over the news article about the recent Pew study blares "U.S. Muslims Are Moderate."

That should make you feel nice and safe at night – except it is very misleading. Revolutionary violence is generally created by a small minority, never a "moderate majority."

Think Hitler's Brown Shirts, a small minority in Germany in the 1920s. Or think Lenin's Bolsheviks, a tiny movement in Russia in 1917. Or think Mao's Communists, so small and so weak as to get thrown out of Shanghai before the "long march." And don't forget Samuel Adams and his loyal band who started revolutionary fur flying in Massachusetts in 1776.

And especially think Mohammad, who started with an attack on Mecca and finished with a movement that subjugated much of the civilized world.

Going back 5,000 years of history, revolutions are almost always started by a small, dedicated band willing to do violence to win their objectives. (China's first great dynasty was created that way.)

You should regard the Pew data as a serious warning. True, a majority of U.S. Muslims are moderate, but seven percent of Muslims reported they approved of suicide bombings.

This means that there are over 200,000 Muslims in the USA who could participate in violent terrorism against America. That's comparable to 20 army divisions.

Worse yet, 21 percent of Muslims surveyed say there is a fair degree of support for Muslim extremism in their communities. This means that many more thousands of American Muslims would feed, supply, and finance terrorism against the USA.

Remember that Muslims are duty bound by the Qu'ran to house and feed Muslims who are traveling. (How do you think the 9/11 hijackers got from point A to Point B so easily?) This means that even moderate Muslims can be involved in aiding and abetting terrorists.

It is vitally important to keep our government's attention on mosques, Muslims and their communities. It is important to keep profiling Muslims and their supporters. Especially the mosques financed by the Wahabbi sect from Saudi Arabia.

If you doubt what a small minority can do, look at your travel life:

You remove your shoes at airports because of a single shoe bomber.

You have your private parts searched visually or physically because of one underwear bomber.

You are limited to carrying less than three ounces of liquid because of one chemical bomber.

Your privacy has been restricted by all the cameras over our streets.

We must force our federal, state and local governments to keep after Muslims and not falter in the name of liberalism.

Profiling your enemy is not a dirty word – except to those who would do you harm.
