OBAMA'S TAX LIES TO THE MIDDLE CLASS

Someone once said, "You can't fool all of the people all of the time."

But he had never met the American middle class – a group which has been swallowing the tax lies of politicians since 1783. Especially the lies that promise to increase taxes on the rich and not the middle class.

According to the polls, middle-income folks are now believing Obama's pledge that "95% of the people will not suffer tax increases in my economic plan."

But that same Obama promised to lower taxes on the middle class in his campaign for the U.S. Senate. Once elected, he reversed course and supported tax increases for the same middle-income folks he promised to protect.

Bill Clinton, running in 1992, promised tax cuts for the middle class. But once President, he proposed higher taxes for everyone making as much as $20,000 a year. When the press called him on his duplicity, he said, "Oh, the press exaggerated what I really said."

When Congress passed the Alternate Minimum Tax (the AMT), they claimed that the new tax was to catch the tax-dodging rich. But guess what? You, the middle class, are paying the Alternate Minimum Tax. And to add insult to duplicity, they make you figure your taxes twice, and then pay the higher amount. Instead of figuring against the government, they force you to figure against yourself.

Every tax that was proposed on the basis of soaking the rich has ended up on the backs of the hard-working middle class.

The legislation creating the income tax following the passage of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution was sold on the basis of collecting from the top-hatted rich and the corporations which had become monopolies (Standard Oil, American Tobacco, Big Steel, etc.). But it soon came to claim the middle class, who pay the bulk of income taxes today.

The Federal gas tax was passed in 1932 when few families owned cars and only the rich could afford gasoline. It was to be a tax on the rich. But now everyone in the middle class owns at least one car and pays the Federal gasoline tax.

Property taxes are the key revenue source for education. Yet when this scheme was devised, property was owned by the wealthy. Later, as the middle class was able to buy homes, the financing of education once again fell on them.

The sales tax has hit the poor and the middle class the hardest. If Obama were truly interested in protecting the poor and the middle class, he would come up with a scheme to eliminate the sales tax – and all other regressive levies like the gasoline tax.

But the truth is that Obama really intends to redistribute the national income by soaking the middle class and giving the proceeds over to programs aimed at the poor.

This is the master strategy of Barack Obama. He has already participated in many such schemes as a community organizer in Chicago. This is why Fannie Mae contributed so much money to him in his three years in the Senate.

But too much of the money was siphoned off to a slumlord who defrauded the government while helping the Obamas buy a fancy house they really couldn't have afforded at the time.

To make matters worse, Obama enabled the slumlord to build substandard housing, much of it having already fallen apart and become uninhabitable.

Obama's record shows a pattern of taxing the middle class in order to fund corruption in Chicago's minority housing projects.

A President Obama, aligned with radicals Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, will really make the middle class suffer in the years ahead.

But if they believe his tax lies, they will have deserved it.
