The auto industry is looking for ways to design cars that can meet the 2020 federal gas mileage requirements. There's no real innovative way to do it since electricity is made from coal, which is far more polluting than gasoline. Instead, the industry is going to be forced to design much lighter cars. That means thinner and shorter. The car in the above pic is what a 35mpg Corvette will look like. And here are the future Audi
and Lamborghini.
All will weigh less than 2,000 pounds. All will have two cylinder motors. All will get 35 mpg. Hooray for progress. (click here for a printable version of this article) |
